Howdy

Welcome to the home page for John Markor.� I am a management consultant specializing in the setup and maintenance of digital library systems.�

This home page also serves as the home page for my company, Mindless Communications.�

My Mission in Life

The primary purpose for this web site is to keep me employed - an honorable task, if I do say so myself. One method of ensuring a steady stream of income, something my ex-wife appreciates, is to demonstrate my philosophy about digital libraries, which is essentially "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." � A lot (and I mean a LOT!) of companies think that they have to have every single piece of paper that was ever written on-line - something that simply is not feasible given the state of today's hardware and software.�

But what is possible (in almost all instances) is the establishment of digital repositories of documents, where new documents which are created are stored and available.� That is the focus of my consulting business, specifically:

	How do you establish a document repository
	What kinds of documents are stored in the repository
	What format are these documents stored in
	How is the repository accessed and by whom
	How is the document repository maintained
